More than 1.5 million tons of e-waste are thrown into American landfills every year. As a result, the toxins they contain, such as lead and mercury, end up being released into the air and water. For example, an old television set can contain up to ten pounds of lead. You may have kept your old electronics in storage because you’re not sure how to properly dispose of them. We can help. Goodwill of Orange County is a California State Certified e-waste collector. We will gladly accept all your electronics, working or not. Your donations help us in our mission to help people with disabilities and other barriers to achieve independence. Because of your support, people with disabilities and other barriers to independence benefit by working in our E-waste Solutions program. Put e-waste to work helping people – and the environment.
